Digital Recording Music
I personally began recording music digitally in 1999 when I retired my Atari and began using a Mac to digitally record my original compositions. Actaully I really started before then with an ADAT which was basically a VCR that recorded digitally on a VHS Tape.
It was a far greater quality than the 4 track cassette I had been using prior to that to record my music. Digital music had a much cleaner and far superior sound. some thought it was sterile and lacked that natural tape overdrive, but I must admit I loved the pristine clean qualities of digitally recorded music.
